We participate in the Strategic Cluster Week in China

Recently, we had the opportunity to travel to China with twenty Catalan clusters to participate in the tenth edition of the Strategic Cluster Week, organized by ACCIÓ, the agency for the competitiveness of the company of the Department of Enterprise and Work This initiative is an example of the Generalitat's commitment to the development and internationalization of Catalan clusters, which are fundamental to the competitiveness of our business fabric.

During this week, we got to know the Chinese innovation ecosystem up close, establishing alliances and looking for new opportunities for international collaboration. The cities we visited, such as Hong Kong, Shenzhen and Shanghai, are examples of innovation and technology hubs, where we were able to observe first-hand how Chinese companies are at the forefront of digital transformation and innovation.

Visits to prominent companies such as OPPO, Tencent and Baozun have been instrumental in understanding the business model and consumption strategies that dominate the Chinese market. We had the opportunity to get to know the facilities of OPPO, one of the most important smartphone manufacturers in the world, and discover how they are integrating artificial intelligence and Big Data into their products to improve the experience of the consumer

At Tencent, the creator of WeChat, we've been able to delve into the digital ecosystem strategies that have revolutionized the way users interact with apps and online services. This visit has inspired us to think about new ways to integrate technology into our own solutions and services.

In addition to the visits, we participated in specialized training sessions on the Chinese economy, given by renowned experts, such as Alicia García Herrero, chief economist for Asia-Pacific at Natixis, and Coral Puig, professor at the University of Hong Kong Science and Technology. These sessions have provided us with deep insight into Chinese cluster policy, market trends, and factors influencing Chinese consumer behavior.

We learned about the importance of constant innovation and adaptability in a market as dynamic as the Chinese one. This knowledge is crucial for our companies, which are looking to expand in an increasingly competitive global environment.

The Strategic Cluster Week has not only been a learning opportunity, but also a space to create synergies between clusters and companies. We have been lucky enough to share experiences with other Catalan clusters such as Edutech, Innovi, and the Digital Cluster, among others, which has allowed us to exchange ideas and best practices to face the challenges of the agri-food sector.

Through contact networks that we have established during this journey, we are convinced that we will be able to develop collaborative projects that benefit all members involved. These types of initiatives are fundamental to promoting innovation and competitiveness in Catalonia.
